‘You haven't forgotten who you were. You just need to remember.’
In northern Sardinia, in the province of Sassari, three kilometres from Santa Teresa di Gallura, Capo Testa is a natural masterpiece where imposing rock formations, white beaches, lunar landscapes and picturesque coves blend together in incredible harmony.
The profile of this imposing promontory is characterised by granite rocks which, over thousands of years of erosion by the wind and sea, have been transformed into breathtaking structures of unusual size and geometry.
Thanks to the richness of its habitats and the species that inhabit it, the Capo Testa peninsula has been designated a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and has become part of the Natura 2000 network, an EU tool for preserving the rich biodiversity of specific territories.
In addition to nature, there is a wealth of history: from the Nuragic civilisation (the Lu Brandali archaeological site and the La Testa nuragic complex) to ancient Rome, when granite was quarried here to build monuments in the capital.
This area has also been chosen as a “home” by some young and not-so-young people driven by the desire for an alternative lifestyle, reminiscent of some of the concepts of the “flower children” of the 1960s and 1970s.
A deep love for a unique and magical place that, if you don't know it, you can start to explore from here.
To immerse yourself for a few hours in fairy tales for children and adults who never grew up.
An exploratory journey through nature, legends and adventures.
"Actarus, my hero, lands on the Planet of Granite, a fantastic place where rocks come to life and become fantastic characters.
I
"A truly special book.
The book moved me several times while reading it and manages to convey the emotional baggage that the protagonist has experienced throughout his life.
"A diary-confession, a concentration of memories, emotions, fantasies... it really moved me...
The rest remains inside...!"
The photo book celebrates the beauty of a magical place in northern Sardinia.
It recounts and showcases its magic and legends as seen through the eyes of interstellar explorer Actarus.
This photo book is designed to be shared with children, grown-up children, and those who don't want to grow up. If you think you have reached full maturity or are someone who takes life or themselves too seriously, this photo book is not for you.
It is also suitable for younger people, provided they have already entered the fabulous world of puberty and are not shocked by a “stikazzi” or a photo that may resemble a male organ.
This photo book lives thanks to its inhabitants. You will find the giant crab, the smiling fish, the yawning fish and the perplexed fish, as well as several species of sharks. But also Luminite, the elderly mouflon, the hound with the periscope neck, the lonely hydrant, the chubby alien, the girl and the cloud, the desperate diver, the Roccia-Traz prison, the boys playing with the headlights, Broncio Naso Lungo, the Pifferaio de la Turri and many others.
